In the Bible there is a clear distinction between Prophecy, which concerns Israel, and Mystery, which concerns the “Age of Grace” (Rom 16:25-26) as revealed to New Testament prophets (Eph 3:5, 4:11, 1 Cor 14:37). As clearly as this is expressed in Scripture, it is amazingly difficult to show to others who appropriate to themselves what God is plainly saying to the Jews.
Most Christians, taught a perversion of Scripture, do not seem to be able to grasp that God made an unbreakable covenant with Abraham, and another with David that the angel Gabriel confirmed it to Mary, and of which Jesus came as the fulfillment of those covenant promises. Read the Synoptic Gospels well. Their focus is the nation of Israel and her responsibility to come to Christ – the fulfillment of prophecy – and to spread the “Good News of His Kingdom” throughout the earth. That was always God’s plan, and to do this today, God must reestablish Israel as a nation and bring Jews back from the four corners of the earth (as prophesied) before the ”Kingdom Age” (millennium) can commence.
God declares, Ezekiel 37:21 (KJV) And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
God FIRST brings Israel back to the land…still in unbelief…and THEN cleanses them:
Ezekiel 36:24-28 (KJV) For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.”
God clearly states that He will FIRST bring them back to the land and THEN purify them with a new heart and bless them with His Holy Spirit.
Ezekiel 20:34-38 (KJV) “And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with FURY poured out. 35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. 36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD. 37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: 38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.”
During the “End Times,” God begins to gather unbelieving Israel into the “wilderness” of Judea (Palestine). In His FURY, He begins to bring unfaithfulness, unbelieving Jews back to the land of His promise. We often overlook that Israel has committed an awful crime against God. God sent His only Son, their Messiah, just as He promised He would, and they corporately rejected Him. God’s FURY is not because Jesus went to the cross…He had to be crucified to be the propitiation of all sin, so that we could be forgiven…but because despite all the prophecies, and all the signs and wonders – including His resurrection from the dead – He was totally rejected by the nation and the Sanhedrin. In God’s mercy, those who did believe were incorporated into the Church of the “Age of Grace,” where there is neither Jew nor Gentile (Gal 3:28). However, God had made a covenant promise with Abraham (Gen 12:1-2; 14:4-17;17:1-8)and confirmed it with Isaac and Jacob (26:2-6; 28:10-15). God is the God of His word. He promised David…a descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob…an everlasting kingdom (2 Sam 7:11-12). God confirms this covenant to Mary in Luke 1:31-33 (KJV) “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.”
In the late 1800 with the “New Zionist” movement, God began calling Israel back. To say that the nation of Israel today is not fulfillment of prophecy is difficult to support – that would be blindly denying Scripture and like unto calling God untruthful…just as first century Israel did by denying Christ. Today’s Israel is not a religious nation! Israel is mostly secular and biblically deviant. The largest LGBTQ celebration on the entire globe was recently held in Tel Aviv. Notwithstanding, there is an ever-growing Messianic Church and a small contingency of faithful Jews, attempting to practice a Biblical (not Rabbinical) form of Judaism, calling upon their Messiah to come. But God’s FURY is not yet appeased. Not until Israel repents. Jesus proclaimed:
“Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”Luke 13:35 (KJV)
